1) Character Creation
Motivation (Why they hunt):
Daily occupation (Optional):
The common foot soldier. They prevail at nothing, except killing.
Gear: Have access to all weapons (up to two firearms), and may take heavy armour.
Rules: It tis but a scratch: Pumped up on adrenaline a soldier can shrug of wounds as if their nothing, only to feel them later.
On a unsaved wound roll a D6 on a 4+ the wound is negated.
Medic (Better dead, than undead)
Medics are the ones who treat wounds upon the field of battle, often sacrificing their own protection to help others. Most medics end up insane, it is upon them to euthanize those of their comrades turned.
Gear: Med kit, sidearm, light armour
Rules: Trust me I'm a medic: The medic may heal wounded combats during combat at the expense of both players attacks that round, at a rate of one wound per round.
Knight (To fight by the sword, is to die by the sword)
Most supernatural prefer to fight up close and personal. It is inevitable that most hunts will be decided upon the duelling pair skill of the blade. Knights are masters at arms, skilled and practiced with the sword.
Gear: Sidearm, sword (may take heavy armour)
Rules: Parry: A knight may negate any unsaved wound caused by a melee attack. On a 3+ the attack is parried and no wound is suffered.
Bait (Why did I agree to this?)
Sometimes, the hunter may prefer to have the prey come to them. For this bait is needed. This often falls upon whoever is not present when the hunters decide bait is needed. However, some prove so unsuspecting so tasty and innocent in their prey’s eye, that they often be bait regularly. That or the others volunteer them regularly...
Gear: Dagger, sidearm, their ‘charming’ personality.
Rules: Hey, you! Yes, you!: Bait may engage in a conversation with their target before combat is joined. This takes their opponet of guard. For the next round the target forfeits their attacks while, the bait strikes at increased initiative.
Damn lucky (Permanent bait only) On a a failed save roll a D6 on 4+ the save is instead passed.
Single shot. Highly accurate, but long reload times. Can also be outfitted for different ranges with use of scopes. Used for medium to long ranges.
Invented during the Great War. These weapons have a high rate of fire, and are fed through with magazines. They are innacurate and can be prone to jamming though, and for short to medium ranges. Although extremly rare and yet to prove their worth
Often brutal and famed for spraying a mans guts halfway across the room. Can be fed by magazine or by drum. For short ranges and indoor fighting, usless as medium to long ranges.
Useful for a tight spot. Useful as a backup weapon for when you run out of ammo or forced to reload. For short to medium ranges.
Silent but still deadly. And can pack a hell of a punch. Short to long ranges.
Not as powerful as the crossbow, but faster to shoot. Short to long ranges.
Swords, axes and other dealers of close range death. Although centuries old can still chop up the enemy just as well.
Useful when all other options fail. Everyone is thought to have one.

Apperance: 5'10, well built with close-cropped black hair and three scars running vertically across his face

Motivation (Why they hunt): To avenge his family
Daily occupation (Optional): Drifter
Personality: Gruff and serious
History: Born in the Minnesotan port city of Duluth, Jonah lived most of his life near the city's bustling docks. Like his father, Jonah eventually got a job loading shipments of coal, iron, and grain on the shipping vessels bound for Europe and other parts of America.
When the Great War began, Jonah was one of the many Americans that answered the call of duty to serve in the British Empire's armed forces. He excelled at training and eventually volunteered to serve in one of the elite Minnesotan Ranger battalions. During the Battle of Belleau Wood in 1918, Jonah earned distinction when he silenced an MG nest that had pinned down his squad.
After the war, Jonah returned to Duluth and married his high school sweetheart. Together, they bough a home just outside of Duluth and started a family. Life was good for about a year, but everything changed in one night. That night Jonah had been out drinking with some of his former squadmates and he came home a little later than he usually would. When he opened the door to his home, he found a scene of carnage. Blood was splattered across the walls and the torn bodies of his children were scattered about. And in the center of the butchery sat a Werewolf feasting on the corpse of his wife. Drawing his service pistol, Jonah managed to put three shots into the beast but it did not die. Instead, it dropped Jonah's wife and charged at him. A single slash from its paw sent Jonah sailing across the room unconcious. But before the beast could finish him off, it heard a group of people approaching the household and fled into the night. Jonah recovered and since that day he has vowed to hunt down any werewolf he comes across.
Tall, tan, athletic, muscular, lean, fair hair that hangs over the eyes and eyes slightly so is held back by a banding of stripped bark. Dark brown eyes. Looks about 21
Axe (Melee Weapon)
Equipment- Heavy armour
Motivation- Hunts as a hobby, and to make money
Daily Occupation- Hunter. He sells stuff he finds as a way of finance, but otherwise eats the meat and crops he finds in the forests.
Personality- Honest to a word, loyal to friends and trustworthy. Quick to anger, but rarely likes to fight. When a friend or ally is threatened he won't back down. Is quite skilled at Hand to hand and melee combat. He developed decent hunting abilities and could be considered a moderately skilled tracker.
Duran lived in London since a boy and volunteered for war upon outbreak. He survived and through the war rose to the rank of Corporal. After the war he returned home to find his family had been murdered in an arson at his home on christmas eve 1917. His home was gone. He left the city and travelled to the north of England, working for a local Shipyard owner as a manually labourer and woodcutter on the weekends. While working late one night at the docks, he made his first kill. A Werewolf. It lept on him in the dark, and only through sheer brute force was he able to survive, his work having built up his body enough that he was able to get the beast off him long enough to find a weapon- an engraved silver pen, dropped on the ground by some nobleman no doubt, which he stabbed the beast with untill its body was nothing but a ragged stain. Only then did he actually realise the beast was a werewolf, and that his heart was going faster and harder than ever, even more than when he was involved in the offensives of the War. He liked it. He loved. The pain from the deep cuts down his vanished as adrenaline pumped through him. He wanted more. He needed more. So, giving his week's notice, he packed up everything he could carry and set out on a 3 month trek to the Capital, making sure to go through forests and area where monsters would be. So far all he has hunted is a few wild dogs and birds, and the occassional bandit. He has been living in London, in a small home not far from his old one, for a few years.
NPC: Kailen (Soldier, Female, 21, 5'6", brown shoulder length hair, brown eyes, athletic)
Weapons: Shotgun, SMG
Duran and Kailen first met as children, just two babies in the same area, with parents who couldn't stand each other. Kailen's parents believed that Duran's family, working class people, were beneath their middle class noses. That didn't stop Kalien, Age 10, from following Duran everywhere as a puppy might follow its mother. Duran, 16, coming on 17, gave no notice, caught up in work and women. Her parents forbid her from seeing him. She disobeyed, once. They met in the middle of the night on Duran's suggestion. Her heart, that of a smitten young girl, rose like an Eagle, only to be shot from the sky. Duran had called her out there only to say that he left for war inthe morning. She didn't see him for 11 years.
3 years after war broke out, Kailen attended a funeral. 6 vases lay upon the table in the church. 1 for each of Duran's parents. 2 for the twins, 10 year old boys, and the 4year old boy. These 5 contained the ashes of one of the family members, the 6th empty. The unborn daughter. The family had welcomed her with open arms as their own. Unlike her own snobby mother who couldn't bear her friend.
Kailen grew up, left home at 18, married a shopkeep. Made a living. She was happy. Normal. Life was good. Untill her husband was devoured alive by a Man-Eater, before her very eyes. Her escape was only capable because he fought against the monster, begging her to run as his lungs and liver were torn from his body.
She did so, she ran and left him to die. She ran from the city. Bought a horse, rode out to Wales. She settled down, alone. But money runs out, and at age 19, turned to prostitution to make a living. On one particular night, the unthinkable happened. She was getting dressed, in her client's house. It happened again, a Man Eater attacked and decimated her client. And turned on her. This time, she did not run. She blew its head off with a shotgun.
After that, she decided to isolate herself. Live alone. Began breaking into houses, stealing, misleading police who came looking. She learned how to disappear in plain sight, how to use her "assets", how to break locks. But eventually that changed. One house she broke into, the occupant was there. A young man, weedy, but indescibably intelligent. Instead of calling the police, the man, Alistair, invited her to join her at the dinner table, as he just sat down. For some reason, they accepted. Over dinner they found out they were both victims of monster attacks. But where Kailen had chosen to forget, Alistair researched. He had learned all he could, but lacking the skills to achieve vengeance. Realising how they could help each other. They reached agreement. They moved back to London, bought a house together, strictly buisness of course. They started opening a contract killing buisness, to hunt down and kill monsters. They have been doing this for 2 years. Alistair gets the stuff, Kailen the killing.
Never once did Kailen think of her friend. The one who went to war. Did he come back? Was he dead? She knew nothing. Untill he moved next door

History: Born and raised in Germany her father a German Soldier and her mother was a Russian prostitute, Rote’s mother worked in a Brothel when her father and mother got together then Rote was born into the world.
At the age of 6 Rote’s father was murdered the killer unknown but the killer shot Rote’s father in the head with a sliver Bullet, the police saw it as just a normal murder but never found the killer.
At the age of 10 her mother passed away due to a heart attack this left the young girl an orphan but instead of living on the streets her mother’s ‘co-workers’ took her under their arms and kept her safe and raised her as their own.
At the age of 15 she began to work with her ‘step mothers’ she took to the streets and worked in the brothel for 4 more years until one day a man came in asking questions about Rote’s father asking to see his daughter, when Rote stepped forward the man admitted to killing her father claiming he was a werewolf and had to be stopped, after explaining he said that he had to kill Rote.
As the Hunter began to take his knife out Rote already had her Stiletto out and pointing at he’s throat, in response the Hunter let go of his blade and explained everything it turned out that Rote’s father was a Hunter and his last hunt was a werewolf but before he killed it he was bitten and her father’s killer was his best friend.
Finally knowing what happened to her father she followed his footsteps and was trained by her father’s friend John but on one hunt they were chasing a Lazara that was hunting in Liverpool and dragging people into an old house and storing them in the floor. While Rote asked around the locale pubs and bar she lost her mentor John when Rote tracked the creature to the house she saw it feasting on it latest victim, she snuck closer to the creature and plunged her blade through the creatures neck and tore it out fast enough that it took the creatures head off. What Rote could make of the latest victim it was John his chest eaten and throat ripped out, in respect she burned her mentor and friend then scattered his ashes to the sea.
Now she hunts with any hunter she comes across but never gets to close due to the loss of too many friends to the creatures of the night.

The British Empire
The largest Empire ever to grace the Earth. The Empire covers the vast majority of the World. The America's to India and Afghanistan and Western Europe. It is the richest country on Earth yet struggles to keep all its colonies in check and in an illusion of 'peace'.
After its victory in the Great war of 1914-1918. The Empire expanded taking over the weakened western world, in response to the rising threat in the East. From there it swiftly took over the vast majority of the world.
Its is ruled from its center of power in London by the Royal family. Having won the civil war in 1651. The royals continued to rule Britain and its growing Empire, while parliament stood weakened and in an advisory role to the King/Queen.
The Russian/Chinese alliance
Formed in 1920, in response to the threat of the growing Empire in the west. The Russian and Chinese combined their territories and quickly seized territory in hope of stopping the growing Empire. They fortified their borders relatively splitting the country that was once Germany in half, the British on one side of the defenses, the Russian and Chinese on the other. A similar situation arises in the America's and on the border of Afghanistan.
The alliance remains the bogeyman that the British Empire is constantly defending against and the reason why they annexed the weakened western Europe after the Great War and for every territory since. The two nations remain in a situation that the newspapers are calling a cold war. The two giants unwilling to make the first move.
The New Roman Imperium
After various diplomatic and military conflicts, Italy and Greece managed to resist the urging from both The British Empire and The Alliance to join them. This faction has fought hard over the years to hold its place in the world. Its individiuality. With the support of the Vatican, it is possible for this to happen without the NRI being invaded immediatley by the two super powers. They have formed their own legions of soldiers, reminiscient of the anciet roman armies, and armed them both with sword and gun. They are a formidable nut to crack, renowned for their devout populace and resolute national attitude.

Name: Doctor James Vladique
Background: Many people know the doctor as a saviour to them, a man who has brought their loved ones back from the brink of death. He has worked tirelessly for several years to gain the trust of the people of london. He is a famed hero to the people. But as many doctors are, he is dangers. Skilled with blades and cunning beyond belief, this doctor oragnises the hunters in London. He provides them with medical care, he aids them when they are inexperienced. He has even been known to save their lives upon occasion. He keeps their affairs hidden and provides them with the information they need to succesfully hunt the creatures of the dark.
Persoanlity: A mysterious, difficult to read man. James is seen as kindhearted by the people, but his rage rivals that of a norse berseker when he fights the unnatural scourges of the darkness.
Name: Charles Leone
Occupation: Archbishop of York
Background: A newcomer to London, the Archbishop experienced a necromantic attack upon his home in York. His eyes were opened to evil underworld of Britain. He decided to find himself a force of hunters to root out the very same necromancers, who he has found to have taken residence in London itself. He means to recruit as many people as possible to elad the attack upon the nefarious sorcerors.
Personality: Open, warm, devout
Name: Sir Sariel Krill
Occupation: Lord Protector of London and the Crown
Background: A veteran of the Royal guard, progressing from a private to a colonel within a few years. He soon became a massive tactical asset to the empire, leading conquests in Western europe an south America, inspiring troops and striking fear into the hearts of the Empires enemies. He is known as a devout and skilled soldier. Once, when in London, he saved the life of the Crown Prince Jerimiah, and was awarded a knighthood. He was later declared lord Protector over the city and the Crown.
Personality: Devout, puritan, spartan, stringent, loyal.

5) The War of the Night
As long as there have been demons, mankind has strived to stave off their temptations. It is a war they fight alone. For whatever reason, heaven does not dabble in the fight of its subjects. Humanity stands as the solitary light against the slowly falling dark. Most stay blind to this, the denizens of the night seek to keep their existence hidden from the many, and such was the mistake of the mage during the dark times. Fear and witch hunts brought them low.
Only a few these days, know the truth and that is how things should stay. The consequences for both sides would be too great otherwise.
Hunters: The Light in the Dark
There exists a band of warriors that fight to stave off the dark. With holy weapons, and blessed silver, they fight the darkness. It is a war they are losing, every day the darkness rises. More demons pass into this dimension, the wards placed by Heaven are failing. In the end humanity will fall.
There are various hunter groups, but in the end they all answer to a single governing body. They’re those that call them corrupt, power hungry dictators and short sighted fools. It only a matter of time before the cracks in their delicate structure shows, already two sides are forming. United they shall stand but, divided they shall fall.
Demons: The Children of Lilith
At the beginning, God created both male and female from the dust of the Earth. Adam and Lilith. Yet, Lilith defied God and Adam and for that she was banished from the garden of Edam, Eve created in her place.
Lilith turned bitter, angry at both God and the children of Adam and Eve. She mated with angels, those that had fallen from grace. And yet, God had made her barren and she could never conceive a child that she so longed. Full of resentment and jealously she would kill mankind’s stamp out their seed. Her blood, it is said, is the stuff of demons. Where it falls demons sprout, they are her ‘true children’. With them she will bring mankind to their knees.
Jabberwocks are the serpentine avatars of madness and discord in the material plane. Making their nests in dark, dank places such as sewers and catacombs, they emerge at night to gorge themselves on the warm flesh and blood of any man or creature that they come across. The movements of a Jabberwock are disturbingly lithe and agile for a creature its size and are accompanied by the Jabberwock's constant, maddened murmurings in a long forgotten language. Any man who hears the Jabberwock speak this language is stricken by confusion and madness.
A Jabberwock is 15 feet long, 5 feet tall, and weighs 700 lbs
The Supernatural: Denizens of the night
Young children have always been scared of the dark and what lies within. This fear isn’t without roots. Creatures live in the dark. Vampires, Werewolves and other horrid creatures that haunt the dark corners. These are the most common enemy of the hunter, as they prey off the weak. Unlike demons, these creatures make this dimension their home. They fight the long drawn out, war of the night, waiting for the day they can rise.
The Wicked Dead
Death is not always the end. There are those rare individuals whose nature was so utterly vile and abhorrent that their souls were rejected by the Lands Below, which spit them back up like an ingested poison. These putrid and twisted souls are doomed to wander the Lands Above until Judgment Day, their own wretched evil forever anchoring them to the realm of mortality. Pity not these unholy phantoms, but rather pity the unsuspecting realm they are now forced to wander forever, for the Wicked Dead no neither pity not compassion.
Like calls to like, and this principle is no different for these damned and wicked souls, who gather in foul nests called Liche Kennings, which drift across the countryside, drinking deeply of the terror they spread in their wake.
Background: These are the souls of women, who have tried to use black magic trying to raise other's souls and claim them as slaves, but in the process they have trapped their own in the process. This forces them to stalk the areas that they lost their own lives till they are freed. Most Crelects are found in graveyards and towns very rare that they are found in the cities. They seek to claim the souls of their victims to regain their old powers.
Background: The first vampires were beings cursed by God: Cain, Judas. Their crime's so massive they have been denied entry to heaven, instead forced to roam the Earth as a mockery of their former selves. Other's are even more twisted, having discovered the secret power of Human blood. They decide to drink it for their immortality until they too become a Vampire, although these vamps lack fangs and must continue to drink human blood lest they lose their immortality.
Other's may be cursed by witches or have the curse passed onto them. Turned sick and twisted, they are forced to stalk the night, to drink human blood as sustenance, so they can maintain their immortal youth and survive.
Monsters: The creations of Science and magic
Not every monster is supernatural, gifted their powers through something higher than humanity. Some are human creations made of magic, and science. These creatures often start out as human or some other common animal. They mutate and change the thing that might of once been human, into something that is only fit to be put down.
Background: A German creature, found and brought over to Britain as part of a freak show. When it arrived it escaped and began to live in sewers. It prefers cold and damp areas.
It lives to it name because it sneaks up to the surface at night to drag it's pray back down to the sewers, the beast prefers children, most hunters believe it is that the children have softer flesh, but from time to time the creature will take an adult. For those who escape the creature it is a slow end, they begin to crave human meat and eventually their flesh begins to shift, until they to become a Menschenfesser. These days the creatures stalk caves, sewers, forests and cities.
Background: These creatures are normally found in the American colonies, the natives used to leave offerings to these beasts to stop them from devorouring their young and preganent women. But, when the tribes began to be killed off by the colonists these beasts left their caves and forests and began to hunt in small towns, hunting animals and children. When the America Revolution began these creatures began to stow away on ships feeding on scraps of food. When the creatures reached England they took to abandoned homes and sewers. They are great hunters in the day and unbeatable at night moving with great stealth and speed.

Some of these MAY be opened to players, such as Pyromancy and Alchemy, however, this is still to be decided. Any Magical foes will use one of the disciplines posted, unless previously decided as otherwise equipped.
Now, magic. It has many disciplines. Pyromancy, Geomancy, Necromancy, Ectomancy, Transfiguration, Alchemy. All of these are seperate disciplines among many.
Pyromancy: The Art of Fire
The art of controlling and manipulating fire is one that takes Passion and Drive to master fully. Not just because one must learn many facts, but because pyromacny is driven by emotions that are darker or more passionate than happiness or sadness. The pyromancer must allow their emotions free reign, but they must also control them incase they release too much power. The pyromancer, dependning on their control, could light a flame in the head of an adversary, killing them instantly. Just as easily, they could drown their enemy in a sea of flame and pain.
Geomancy: The Art of Earth
Geomancy Requires discipline and a solidarity of spirit and soul. The Geomancer must remain stoic during combat, calm and solid. The Geomancer must keep their emotions in check, as their power comes from the pure calm that they conduct. This has been the death of many young Geomancers. Geomancers, depending on preference, could call up weapons of Stone and armour of Rock to defend and attack their enemies, or they could manipulate the earth around them to crush and destroy.
Necromancy: The Art of Manipulating Death
Necromancers are being of horrendous power. They use the souls of others to carry out their bidding, trapping and binding the innocent and the guilty alike. Necromancers study for long periods of time to master their craft, usually under a master. This can involve the necromancer becoming 'good' and learning to channel good emotions into their magic, helping them to destroy and put down the evil minions of other necromancers or raise powerful and willing spirits. But, sadly, more often than not it causes the necromancer to learn to Channel their dark emotions, such as Malice, fear and anguish. This necromancer can raise armies of the undead or steal the soul from anothers very body while their heart still beats.
Ectomancy: The Art of Communing with The Dead
Most Ectomancers are young men and women who have lost someone dear to them and wish to speak with them, in the beggining. They hunt for ways to re-unite themselves with their loved ones. That is why they are useful. They can speak to the dead, to find out what happened, where, when and even why. They can ask the spirits around them for help and information. They can use them to find out about people and their location, places and their significance. But they can also ask them to kill. They can enslave the spirits around them and in doing so, they become a mix between an Ectomancer, and a Necromancer.
Transfiguration: The Art of Changing Things
Transfiguration requires complete faith. Not like faith in god, but complete faith in what one is doing. It requires thet Transfigureer to believe completely in his art and what should happen...what he wills to happen. The transfigureer is oft times also strong in faith when it comes to god or his country. Many Transfigureers are often mistaken for Geomancers, because they can manipulate earth, metal and other materials, but they transform the element into something they need, not what they can. Transfiguration doesn't last long and requires immense ammounts of power.
Alchemy: The Science
A relativley new form of Science, alchemy involves a small ammount of magic. The very lifeforce of the Alchemist is used in their experiments to create rare and special items and materials. Alchemists can turn lead to gold, but this will nigh on kill the alchemist if too much is made. Alchemists can turn blood to water, but again, it is difficult. They use chemical reactions to aid their magic. Their magic is that of an editor. They add and subtract nuterons, electrons and protons from the atoms around them to create something new. How can this be used in combat, you ask? The alchemist is also a purveyor of fine arms, steel blades and powerful guns.
